“An underlying truth behind success is that no one cares until you make them. Successful people find ways to make people care about their product. No one needed an iPhone before Steve Jobs made one. No one cared about Twitter or Snapchat before they came along. What is your product? How can you make them care?”
Good day everyone! After playing in the NFL for nearly a decade, I’ve learned that the underlying truth behind success lies in one’s ability to be productive. We, Americans, live in a unique Country whose economy operates in a “Free Market.” Essentially this means that all American citizens have the right to be both a Consumer and a Producer.
By necessity, we are all consumers. We need food to live, clothes to wear, transportation, a place to live, etc. It’s impossible to escape the need to consume. The concept of producing; however, is where we, as a whole, fall short.
I believe that that vast majority of people in America who are poor or of low economic status are not there because of racism, social injustice, inequality, or lack of opportunity. I believe they are there merely because they do not produce anything.
Figure out a way to produce a product that can be marketed desirably and your economic status will undoubtedly change.
46% of jobs for people 30 years and under are independent contracts. This means that the days when you could get a degree, get hired by a major company, and climb the corporate later are fading away and the economic winds are blowing towards entrepreneurship. So now more than ever it is important to figure out what your product is, maximize that product, and market it desirably.
Figure out a way to produce a product that can be marketed desirably and your economic status will undoubtedly change.
